Mithu Rahman is serving as a Vice President of Network of Asian American Organizations (NAAO).
He works for Hanger Orthopedic Group as Director of Technology Development and Support. He is currently involved in developing PoliPad.net, a startup servicing on-demand comprehensive campaign portal needs.
Prior to his employment at Hanger Orthopedic Group, he served as an IT Manager at Acuity Brands, Inc. and Software Developer at MetalOptics, Inc.
Mithu acquired his MBA at Texas State University in Management and Bachelors in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at University of Texas at Austin.
He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He is affiliated with Austin PMI chapter. He is a life member of Beta Gamma Sigma, national honor society. He won many awards including prestigious Darrell & Barbara Piersol award for Business Administration.
His professional interest lies in medical device development for healthcare industry. He believes his prior expertise in technology and IT helps him develop high tech medical devices. Furthermore, he is interested in developing businesses health management using mobile and social technologies. He likes to dedicate his spare time with his family and in community services.
He held the title of Chairman of the Board for Bangladesh Association of Greater Austin (BAGA), a non-profit organization. He also served as Board of Directors of NAAO until June 2010.
